Erica Toth Riga

Erica Toth Riga is our Managing Director. After nearly 15 years of leading client engagement and project delivery for SHM, Erica is now working in a strategy and capability building role for the firm. Erica is excited to be evolving SHM’s approaches, offerings and tools, and developing our consultants.

Prior to joining SHM, Erica worked in media and politics. She graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a Bachelor's degree in History. She then earned a Master's degree in History (Hons) at St. Catherine's College, Oxford and a second Master's degree in Global Politics (Merit) from the London School of Economics. Erica is on the advisory board of Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, a non-profit focused on alleviating food insecurity and reducing food waste.

As the daughter of Hungarian immigrants to the United States, Erica speaks fluent Hungarian. She is the mother of two young children and can often be found reading, making art and exploring nature with them. Erica is currently learning to garden and expanding her knowledge of plant medicine.
