SHM Productions Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
SHM Productions Limited has not yet calculated its baseline emissions due to the nature of its services (negligible scope 1 emissions) and its size (30 employees). SHM’s services do not involve carbon intensive activities and are delivered virtually where possible and appropriate. SHM procures business-critical goods and services from a restricted range of UK and overseas suppliers, and as such its supply chain is very small.
SHM Productions Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050, if not before, and has engaged a sustainable business advisory firm to conduct a comprehensive, science-based audit to identify its baseline emissions and develop meaningful measures to reduce emissions in line with the Net Zero by 2050 target. Baseline emissions will be publicly reported no later than May 2025.
Please note that a preliminary target of Net Zero by 2050 has been set, but SHM will work towards bringing that date forward following the evaluation process and development of new measures.

Emissions reduction targets
SHM Productions Limited has adopted a preliminary carbon reduction target of Net Zero by 2050, but will reevaluate that target following a comprehensive audit of its baseline emissions and the creation of new measures to reduce SHM’s carbon footprint. Upon completion of the audit, SHM will publish its anticipated carbon emissions reduction over a set time period, and the percentage reduction it represents.
Carbon Reduction Projects
SHM Productions Limited does not yet have visibility of its baseline emissions and has not embarked on any significant emissions reduction initiatives to date.
Following a professional audit of SHM’s emissions (to be completed no later than May 2025), SHM will put in place appropriate carbon reduction measures to enable it to reach its carbon reduction target and will update this plan with the details of those initiatives. SHM aims to meet a certification standard equivalent to ISO14001 and/or PAS 2060.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions will be reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and will use the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions will be reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions will be reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
