Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

| SHM Productions Limited is a small professional advisory firm based in London, UK. SHM’s reporting period begins on 1 January and ends on 31 December of the same year. Baseline Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions were calculated for the first time for the calendar year 2024 in compliance with the Greenhouse Gas (‘GHG’) Protocol. Where possible, primary data has been used. Where necessary, SHM has used proxy data based on industry average figures. This approach is appropriate given the nature of SHM’s services and operations, and adequate to support SHM’s objectives for measuring and reporting. SHM’s Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been calculated in accordance with the latest environmental reporting guidance1, and Scope 3 emissions have been calculated in line with the GHG Protocol’s technical guidance for calculating Scope 3 emissions2, industry best practice and the UK government’s latest greenhouse gas reporting conversion factors3. GHG emissions amounts are presented in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents (tCO2e). |

Emissions reduction targets
SHM Productions Limited has adopted a preliminary target of Net Zero by 2050, but will work to bring that date forward significantly following an evaluation process in the first half of 2025 and the development of new measures to reduce emissions. SHM will publish its updated targeted carbon emissions reduction over a set time period by no later than June 2025.
Carbon Reduction Projects
SHM Productions has engaged a sustainable advisory firm to assist in the creation of new environmental management measures in the first half of 2025, to enable it to reach its carbon reduction target (Net Zero by 2050 at minimum). Measures are anticipated to achieve actual reductions across Scope 2 and 3 emissions, and may also include nature-based carbon removal solutions. Scope 3 Business Travel will be a particular focus for carbon reduction measures.
Based on a preliminary assessment, future measures SHM will apply include: reviewing travel processes, providers and types of Scope 3 vehicles/aircraft; introducing a cycle to work scheme; installing smart plugs; and investigating green website hosting and specialised recycling.
Measures will be refined and expanded following a review process in the first half of 2025.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard4 and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting5.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard6.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
